For the past five years, Vivi has been serving the Chemeketa Community College district as Chief Diversity Officer. Vivi is passionate about bridging understanding by building community in shared learning spaces. She believes in the interconnectedness of the human experience and works to advance justice and belonging not only in her professional career but also her volunteerism as Executive Board member for the Salem-Keizer NAACP and the nonprofit Garten Services. Vivi is a Latina born in São Paulo, Brazil, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Centro Universitário do Sul de Minas; her path to earning a Master’s degree in Business Administration from George Fox University.
