Upon completion of Chemeketa’s HIM Certificate program, you will be eligible to take the National Certification Exam from AAPC. The Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential assures employers that you have the expected professional knowledge and skills relevant to make a meaningful contribution to healthcare.

    The Health Information Management program is on a first come first serve basis. We have filled our seats for our Fall 2024 cohort. We still encourage you to complete the Healthcare Coding declaration form to be put on our alternate waiting list. 

     

  • Criminal Background Check, Drug Screening, & Immunization

    Accepted applicants will be required to pass a criminal background check. If a potential student does not pass the criminal background check, acceptance may be denied. 

    Criminal Background Checks will be ordered through Advanced Reporting upon acceptance into the program.  Please review the disqualifying crimes list.

    Accepted applicants might need to submit the following based on practicum site requirements:

    • Criminal background check
    • Drug screen
    • Immunizations based on practicum site requirements
