Threat Assessment

The college-wide Threat Assessment Team evaluates and manages potential threats of violence to our college community.

Threat Assessment to Protect Our Safety

Chemeketa takes the safety of our community very seriously. In 2008, in response to national trends of increasing school violence, the college established a college-wide Threat Assessment Team.

The Threat Assessment Team is an internal, multidisciplinary team dedicated to the prevention of targeted acts of violence.  Through the cooperative sharing of information, resources and the knowledge gained through training with leading experts in the field of threat assessment/management, the team endeavors to identify, assess, advise and/or manage situations where there is a perceived risk of violence.

If you have concerns regarding a possible threat assessment issue, please contact the Executive Dean of Student's office or Public Safety at our Salem or Yamhill Valley campuses.

You can also submit a concern using our online Student Concern Reporting Form
