What You Will Learn

You can take English classes through our Intensive English program. As a full time F1 student you will take a minimum of 20 contact hours per week which will allow you to have more time with your instructors.   You will be in classes with 18-25 language learners from many different countries. Instructors are experienced teachers with Master’s degrees.

Advanced English Study

When you are in the advanced level, you may take college credit courses along with your English courses. After you successfully complete the advanced level, you can enter the college full-time without a TOEFL or IELTS score.

When you complete the advanced level, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from Chemeketa International Programs.

• Reading
• Vocabulary
• Academic research
• Specialized projects.

Every term lasts 11 weeks. Our fall term begins in late September, winter term begins in January and spring term begins at the end of March.

Summer Program

Summer term at Chemeketa is an exciting time! We offer a Language and Culture Intensive English program designed to help students learn English, explore US culture, and appreciate Oregon as a study destination. Summer program lasts Six (6) weeks.
