Cathy Martell, LMSW
Counselor & Faculty
Cathy (she/her/they/them) has been at Chemeketa since 2003.
Cathy began her education at Chemeketa, completing the Associate of Applied Science degree in Human Services - Social Services. She continued on to complete a bachelor's degree in Social Science and a master's degree in Social Work at Portland State University. Over the course of her time at Chemeketa she has served on several committees including the Diversity Advisory Committee and the College Council.
Cathy has a variety of experience at Chemeketa and within the community. She has worked with students dealing with personal barriers and navigating the system of higher education. She has experience in working with students from all walks of life and experiences. She is an advocate for students in the pursuit of living their most fulfilling life.
Cathy also teaches the CG110 Career and Life Planning class, and has been a member of the Oregon Career Development Association in the past.
